Mining & Production Application V3.1
The Mining & Production Application is designed to provide the Mining & Production community with an easy to operate means of determining the ores & amounts required to fore fill a specific mineral requirement. The application has since expended and now also includes cost & sales analysis for blueprint production. The new V3 application now has the ability to interact with an internet based SQL database. This database hold the mineral prices and item prices by Region. As each user updated the price they use within the application, these updates are posted the database for that region. As more and more users provide price data within the application the database gets more more accurate eventually providing all the users with a highly accurate picture of which it costs to produce a blueprint and what profit they will make in a specific region.
V3.1 has build on the existing V3 version, adding both calculations for +5% & +10% yielding ore variants as well as the correct calculation of Factory time (& cost)
Instructions
Installation
Run EXE file EVEMiningList.exe. This is designed not to install anything to the machine so that is can be used by those people who like to use work computers.
Read the Changes list as it details the new features and fixes in this version, click ok
Running for the first time (or a version update).
The first time this software is executed it will create it's options file. This brings up the following screen and options. Select those appropriate to you.
Pricing Scheme
Manual Pricing - This will cause the application to only use prices that you enter and to store then in a local file. This does not allow for region specific priced
Regional Pricing Database - This will cause the application to receive it's pricing information from the Internet base 'Global Pricing Database'. This is region specific so you can see pricing for your specific region. When you update a price in the application it will post this update back to the database so pricing is always kept as up to date as possible. The more people updating the pricing the more accurate our price history will be.
Calc's Based on
Buy Orders - This option works when 'Regional Pricing Database' is selected. With this option the application costs out production based on BUY order prices. This option is for people who mine there minerals and hence want cost calculated based on what they 'could' have sold those minerals for.
Sell Orders - This option works when 'Regional Pricing Database' is selected. With this option the application costs out production based on SELL order prices. This option is for people who buy there minerals for production and hence want cost calculated on what they can buy the minerals for.
Main Screen
Controls
Blue Print - Select a Blue Print from here and the Mineral Requirements will populate with the need of that print
ME Level - Select the Mineral Efficiency from your blue print to amend the Mineral Requirements
Prod Lvl - Select the Productivity Level from the blue print, this will effect the factory time requirements
Refining Lvl - Set your Refining Skill level here
Ref Eff Lvl - Set your Refining Efficiency Skill level here
Corp Standing - Select your standing with the corporation owning the station you plan to refine at
Refin Equip - Select the refining equipment percentage here
Bias Scheme - This sets how the application will calculate the ores required to mine
Highest Sec Lvl - Ores will be chosen to keep the mining crew in space with the highest security level as possible to foreful the required minerals
Highest Yield - Ores will be chosen based on the highest yield (ignoring security rating) so as to mine the least amount of ore possible
Prod Eff Level - Set your Production Efficiency Skill level
Industry Level - Set your Industry Skill level here
- Click this to convert the Mineral Requirements to Mining Requirements based on the above information
- Click this for the pricing history graphs produced when you are using the 'Regional Pricing Database'
- Click this to set the application options (see 'Running for the First time' above)
- Click this to export the calculated Mining Requirements to a file for import as a Mining contract into the Corporate Contracts Management software (in development)
- Click this to go to the production side of the application (See Production below) - Must have a blue print selected
- Click this to exist the application
Mineral Requirements
Needed - Enter the required amount of the mineral here OR select a blue print and this will auto fill
Owned - Enter the amount of any mineral you already own, this will be deducted from the required amount before the Mining Requirements are calculated. This avoid mining minerals you already have
Buy - Check this box if you intend to purchase this mineral rather than mine it, a checked mineral will NOT be considered in the Mining Requirements calculation
Mining Requirements
After the Calculate button is clicked the white boxes will be filled with the number of units required to achieve the Mineral Requirements.
Boxes in the Standard column show the amount of ore required if the standard variant is mined (ie for Veldspar this would be Veldspar).
Boxes in the +5% Ores column shows the amount of ore required if the +5% yielding variant is mined (ie for Veldspar this would Concentrated Veldspar).
Boxes in the +10% Ores column shows the amount of ore required if the +109% yielding variant is mined (ie for Veldspar this would be Dense Veldspar).
These values all takes into account the loses at the refinery for skill level & standing and should NOT be added together, but used as seperate numbers.
Aval - Un-check this box if the ore is not available for you to mine. This is useful for regions that do not have a specific ore (ie Omber). The calculation (when the calculation button is pressed) will ignore this ore completely.
Ore SKill - Select the level of the specific ore processing skill here. This is also considered during the calculation of the required units of ore
Production Screen
This select is for the producers. It calculated the costs of producing a blue print, potential profit and even BYOM (Bring your own minerals) production.
Blue Print - This shows the Blue Print select on the main screen before the Production button was clicked
Production Time - This shows the production time in seconds based on the Productivity Level of the blueprint and the industry skill entered on the main screen.
Amount in Batch - This shows the number of units produced per run of the print (batch)
- This button allows for quick update of the BUY & SELL prices of the item (only Available when the 'Regional Pricing Database' is in use)
Minerals Required per Batch
This shows the mineral requirements of the blueprint.
Mineral Costs
This shows the costs of the minerals (per unit). There are two ways this is seen
Regional Pricing Database is used - This allows the region to be selected and the prices to be populated automatically from the database. If a price is incorrect then the icon next to it will allow update of this price (see updating prices below)
Manual Pricing is used - This allows the prices to be entered for each mineral and stored locally, there is no link to the database and no ability to store prices for different regions.
- This button allows for quick update of the BUY & SELL prices of the mineral (only Available when the 'Regional Pricing Database' is in use)
Price Details
Factory Rent (ISK) - This is the cost of the factory used in ISK - Default is 40k ISK
Factory Time (Sec) - This is the length of time the factory is rented for. Default is 1 Week.
General Controls
Calculate BYOM - Click this button to enter the screen for BYOM (Bring your Own Minerals) Production settings
Calculate Public Sale - Click this button to enter the screen for Public Sales (Good to be sold) Production settings

Price Update (done by clicking the
buttons)
Lowest LARGE Sell Order - Enter the price of the lowest sell order on market on the region selected. Please ensure you select a price from a larger sell order as the small ones do not reflect actual selling prices. if you Check the Skip box, this stop this value posting to the database.
Highest LARGE Buy Order - Enter the price of the highest buy order on market on the region selected. Please ensure you select a price from a larger buy order as the small ones do not reflect actual selling prices. if you Check the Skip box, this stop this value posting to the database.
Save - Saves the values to the Regions Pricing Database
Cancel - Cancels update so nothing is posted to the database
